Sodium Citrate 3.2%
VACUVEIN™ Tubes for haemostasis testing contain a buffered tri-sodium citrate solution with 3.2% citrate content (0.109 mol/L). Additive-to-blood ratio is 9:1. These tubes help ensure accurate coagulation testing, and the triangular fill mark assists in achieving proper filling while reducing diagnostic errors.
Serum Clot Activator
VACUVEIN™ tubes contain silica (SiO₂) microparticles on the inner walls to promote efficient clotting. They are designed for reliable performance in serum chemistry, serology, blood banking, immunochemical tests, and therapeutic drug monitoring.
Gel with Clot Activator
VACUVEIN™ tubes are coated with silica (SiO₂) microparticles to activate quick and efficient clotting. A high-quality separation gel at the bottom creates a stable barrier between serum and clot, ensuring sample integrity during transport and storage. They are ideal for immunochemical tests, biochemical analyses, therapeutic drug monitoring, and reliable performance for consistent, high-queality results.
Sodium Heparin
VACUVEIN™ tubes are coated with heparin salts (12–30 IU/mL of blood), which act as effective anticoagulants by activating antithrombins and preventing the clotting cascade. This ensures rapid and reliable plasma preparation for laboratory analysis. They are ideal for biochemical, immunochemical, serologic, and immunohematology testing, delivering consistent anticoagulation performance across a wide range of diagnostic procedures.
Lithium Heparin
VACUVEIN™ tubes are coated with heparin salts (12–30 IU/mL of blood), which act as effective anticoagulants by activating antithrombins and preventing the clotting cascade. K2 EDTA
VACUVEIN™ tubes for testing the haemostasis system contain K2EDTA (1.8 mg/mL of blood). EDTA blocks the clotting cascade by binding calcium ions, maintaining stability of red cells, white cells, and platelets for up to 24 hours. A blood smear is recommended within 4 hours of collection.
K3 EDTA
VACUVEIN™ tubes for testing the haemostasis system contain K3EDTA (1.8 mg/mL of blood). EDTA blocks the clotting cascade by binding calcium ions to ensure the stability of red cells, white cells, and platelets in the blood sample for up to 24 hours. It is recommended to prepare a blood smear within 4 hours of collection.
Sodium Fluoride
VACUVEIN™ Sodium Fluoride and Potassium Oxalate tubes are designed for clinical biochemistry testing and allow accurate glucose measurement within 48 hours. Sodium Fluoride acts as a glycolysis inhibitor, while the additional additive helps prevent enzymatic activity throughout the glycolytic pathway, ensuring reliable and stable glucose results.
Sodium Citrate 3.8%
VACUVEIN™ tubes for haemostasis testing are filled with a buffered 3.8% tri-sodium citrate solution (0.129 mol/L) to ensure a precise 9:1 blood-to-additive ratio. These tubes are designed for accurate assessment of the haemostasis system. A triangular fill mark provides guidance for correct filling, helping users achieve the proper ratio and reducing diagnostic error.
